About Us
The ReGlitchtale Archive is the unofficial archive for the ReGlitchtale Community, aiming to collect and present an extensive library for the various reinterpretations and rewrites made by the community. Originally created in June 2024 by Luxo, and later in September 2024 by sumeow, this archive is run and managed by people who are passionate about the community and seek to preserve the creative works that belongs under the collective Re-Glitchtale umbrella.
What is Glitchtale?
If you don't know, Glitchtale is the fan-animation series made by Camila Cuevas derive from the hit game "Undertale" made by Toby Fox. With a total of 2 seasons, 14 episodes along with some later additions to the lore, Glitchtale was initially very well received by the fanbase.
However, in late 2022, Camila and her Discord moderation team (called Glitchtale Crew or GTC) has faced many backlashes for many controversies including but not limited to: enabling and actively participating in grooming activities towards various minors in her Discord server, defaming a fellow UT content creator, tracing allegations, along with various other offenses. Despite this, Camila refused to admit faults and continue to doubled down, refer to the people calling her out "haters".
As such, Glitchtale itself also faced heavy scrutiny, and many fans began to point out both narrative as well and designs flaws in her story. What was once a glorified masterpiece in the eyes of young fans now became nothing more but a slop full of plot holes, terrible design and an ungodly amount of human OCs and unnecessary bloodshed in a story about Monsters and coexistance.
What is ReGlitchtale?
Re_Glitchtale refers to a movement started by ex-Glitchtale fans after Camila Cuevas and GTC’s downfall in late 2022. These ex-fans (including a lot of talented artists and writers) then form a community to share their recreation of Glitchtale in their own style and narrative, calling it “Glitchtale reinterpretation/rewrites/redesigns”, which all later come under the umbrella term “ReGlitchtale” or "ReGT". This was later used as the community’s tags on social media like X(Twitter), Tumblr, Bluesky,...
In 30th April 2024, SaltyPepperSpice and Maydaymayjay started a Discord server under the name "The Re_Glitchtale Community" as a place for anyone who is interested in the topic to discuss and share their own creations to the community.
